Lazarus of Bethany (Latinised from Lazar, ultimately from Hebrew Eleazar, "God helped"), also venerated as Righteous Lazarus, the Four-Days Dead in the Eastern Orthodox Church, is the subject of a sign of Jesus in the Gospel of John, in which Jesus restores him to life four days after his death. ![]() In the scene of his resurrection, he is portrayed tightly bound in mummified clothes, which resemble swaddling bands. At doo'y nilalapitan siya ng mga aso at dinidilaan ang kanyang mga sugat. 20 May isa namang pulubing nagngangalang Lazaro na tadtad ng sugat sa katawan at nakahiga sa may pintuan ng mayaman 21 sa hangad na matapunan man lamang ng mga mumong nahuhulog mula sa hapag ng mayaman. 19 “May isang mayamang laging nakasuot ng mamahaling damit at saganang-sagana sa pagkain araw-araw. ![]()
